About Trip
Celebrate the most important day of your life with us in the beautiful mountain country of Nepal! Sure, the country is not as lavish and luxurious as Italy, France, and the Bahamas, but it is just as romantic. For the adventure-loving, outdoorsy couple, Nepal is paradise. From serene lakes, to pristine peaks to culturally rich cities, deeply rooted in the spirit of Hinduism and Buddhism, Nepal is one of a kind. We heartily welcome you to celebrate the beginning of a lifelong happy marriage in Nepal!
Over the 5 days of your tour, discover the most beloved places in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Kathmandu is the age-old capital of Nepal, full of medieval palaces, sacred temples, and fascinating hidden backstreets. Pokhara is the must-visit destination for both locals and foreigners. The low-key city lies on the shore of Phewa Lake, Nepal’s second largest lake. Each day, grow together as you learn about Nepal. There will be a candlelit dinner for you each evening.
Upon arrival in Nepal, we give a warm welcoming to the newlyweds and meet for a drink at the hotel. After briefing you on the package, the adventure begins! In Kathmandu, we visit all 6 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Each one is like stepping into another piece of Nepal’s intricate and illustrious history. See Pashupatinath, an ancient temple and cremation ground. The ritual burning of bodies throughout the day, combined with the presence of sadhus (wandering ascetics) makes this place particularly fascinating. We also check out Boudhanath and Boudhanath, two Buddhist stupas, overflowing with a peaceful energy that must be experienced for yourself to understand.
Then, visit Kathmandu’s old Newari kingdoms. In the heart of the capital city lies Kathmandu Durbar Square (also known as Basantapur). The several tiered buildings made of intricately carved stone and wood will amaze you.
Then, we head to Pokhara – without a doubt one of the favorite places to visit in this tiny Himalayan country. On a clear day, the lakeside city has a pristine Himalayan backdrop. In the early morning, head to Sarangkot to watch the sun light up these mountain peaks. Over the next day and a half, visit all the cultural and spiritual treasures of Pokhara. Visit Gupteshwor Cave, Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, and Seti Gorge. If there is time, we check out the International Mount Museum. Pokhara just has a romantic vibe to it. Spend some intimate 1 on 1 time here with your husband/wife/partner and bask in the love.
After the exploration in Pokhara, we head back to Kathmandu for another day and a half of exciting sightseeing. Patan Durbar Square is quite different from the one in central Kathmandu, filled with hidden courtyards to see. Each little winding alleyway leads to another marvelous square to wander into. Next is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the third and final Durbar Square. It lies a short few hours away from Kathmandu, and is teeming with Newari culture.
