Your tour start our assistant will welcome you at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Train station near Siliguri .The capital city Gangtok caters to the needs of all .On the way ,stop at kalimpong where you can enjoy rafting in the Teesta River(at your own expense).Continue drive to Gangtok be it people seeking tranquility or those who are looking for some adventure. Set at a height of 5480 feet, Relax and/or you can also explore the MG Marg road and shop for some unique souvenirs. Overnight in hotel in Gangtok.

After breakfast in the morning, we will start an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Mandir(13,200 ft.), which are about 55 km one way from Gangtok city. After exploring the lake and the temple,return back to your hotel in Gangtok for an overnight stay.

Optional Tour : Nathula Pass tour can be done on the same day at an additional cost.

Nathula Pass : is one of the most famous motorable mountain passes of India. With 14,140 feet altitude, this Pass also served as an important trade route between India and Tibet.

In the morning, we will drive to Lachen (8,500 ft, 125 km). On the way, we will visit Seven Sister Waterfalls. Later, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the way. Check in at the hotel in the late afternoon. Rest of the day is free to relax followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

Lachen : is The greenery punctuated with a variety of colourful flowers and trees makes this valley a famous attraction of Sikkim. The valley also boasts of a lovely river and grassy plains where you come across horses, yaks and goats grazing.

Today in the morning, we will drive towards Gurudongmar Lake (17,800ft). Only Indians are allowed to visit this lake. as lake remain milky in colour throughout the year. A portion of the lake does not freeze even in extreme winters and at Thangu you can take breakfast and drive to Lachen take lunch and drive straight to Lachung and overnight halt.

Gurudongmar Lake : is one of the highest lakes in the world and in India, at an elevation of 5,430 m

17,800ft according to the Government of Sikkim. It is located in the Great Himalayas in the Indian state of Sikkim, Note that the altitude here may cause breathing problem so be conscious.

Lachung : is the One of the most stunning Himalayan villages nestled in the lap of North Sikkim, Lachung is an epitome of scenic beauty peppered with tall dark mountains.

Early Morning at 4:00am Excursion to Tiger Hill, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Darjeeling, but you’ll have to get up early to enjoy it at its best! The hill, about 14 km from Darjeeling is at an altitude of 8,515 feet and is famous for its spectacular views at sunrise. The top of Mount Everest is visible, between the peaks of Kanchenjunga and Makalu. The trip to the summit of the hill is through Ghoom Monastery , (know as Yiga Choling Monastery), the region's most famous monastery, has wonderful old murals and is home to monks of the yellow-hat sect. Built in 1850, it enshrines a 5m-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha (Future Buddha) and 300 beautifully bound Tibetan texts and Batasia loop War memorial Head back from breakfast..

Later and get ready for another day of sightseeing including visiting Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park, (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Center (closed on Sunday), Happy valley Tea Estate, and Darjeeling Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway The evening is free for shopping or leisure. overnight stay at the Hotel.

How early should I book my trip?

Booking and payment:

When youaccept thefinal confirmation email or invoice, your trip is booked. Before you confirm your trip, we require a photo copy of your passport and India Visa for the foreign client, and valid ID proof for the domestic client. Also, note that 30% (thirty percent) of the trip payment is not refunded if the trip is cancelled. This ensures your booking and confirms reservation in hotels and the permit process as per the company policy. 

Your Booking Conformation:

After receiving photo copy of your passport and advance money from you, we will send you the final trip confirmation letter with booking voucher .

Final Payment: 

Remaining balance for trek and tours can be made before one week from your trip departure or open arrivel in Darjeeling Please be mindful, we also reserve the right to cancel your trip provided the full amount is not paid on time. 

Important Note for Permit for Sikkim:

Guests are required to carry there valid photo identities (Passport/Driving License/Voter ID Card). Many places do not accept the PAN Card as a valid photo ID. And need for Inner Line Permit , Restricted area permit / Protected area permit required for foreign nationals?

Guests are also required to carry 4 passport size photo along with their Photo-ID proof (like Driving License/Passport/Voter-ID Card & School ID Card for children; These documents are required to obtain the permit for Changu Lake/Baba Mandir in Gangtok. and the same is applicable to the permit for Lachung in North Sikkim.

    Mr. Subash the owner at Ashmita arranged a trip for me and wife for Travels for 12 days (i.e Gangtok, Pelling, Lachung, Darjeeling) and he arranged the car for 12 days was very nice and all the drivers are very nice, super helpful and polite in nature and they guide us all the places very well and liked to travelled with them.     When Subash Tamang e-mailed my friend Susie to confirm our travel arrangements in North Sikkim, he closed by saying "We are always here to welcome you with our open heart," my own heart felt more open to whatever adventure awaited us. When Subash met Susie, Dave and myself at the NJP rail station on May 4 (He'd had a long wait as our train was late.), he immediately draped a Tibetan scarf around each of our necks and warmly greeted us. This open and welcoming tone would be sustained for the next six days by our guide, Sonam Moktan, as we traveled by jeep into the wondrously diverse and rugged Himalayas. From Gangtok to Lachen to Lachung and the Yumthang Valley, Sonam and our driver, Bhaichung, not only kept us safe, but they opened our eyes and our hearts to the unique natural and cultural life of the Himalayas. Sonam-a trained botanist-was the perfect guide as we trekked along the Rhododendron Path into the Yumthang Valley. He never tired of my questions concerning the incredible diversity of plants. We met some of Bhaichung's relatives when we stopped to eat lunch in Namtok, his home village. There we were served a savory lunch of rice, local fern, dal, pumpkin, spinach and (if I remember correctly) a curried chicken dish. In Lachung, I turned 67 and Sonam celebrated by bringing beautiful pastries to the dinner table. Sonam was also invaluable when I had a bit of stomach trouble and had to stay in bed a few extra hours. He introduced us to a delicious garlic soup tonic which was very helpful (and fortunately we didn't need it too much). When we returned to Gangtok, Subash was there to meet us and introduce the driver who would take us to Kuresong. Thanks to Sonam and Bhaichung, we had a safe and enlightening journey through a rugged and remote range. I highly recommend Ashmita Trek and Tours. Subash kept his word in every way and I continue to be grateful for such a rich experience!

    Subash and Ashmita Trek & Tours gave me unforgetable experience in Darjeeling. After saw hit bollywood movie Barfi, I decided to visit Barfi's shooting location in hill land. Subash arranged a location tour for me and told me some interesting episode during shooting period in Darjeeling. We also walked through almost whole Darjeeling downtown to have great tea and snacks. If you want to enjoy Darjeeling and Nepal, try to discuss with Subash and Ashmita Trek&Tours first. I am pretty sure you will get good response.

    We were staying in darjeeling only for a short time and wanted to do a trek/tour of the himalayas. After wondering around the town for a while with no luck we eventually came across ashmita trek & tours. This was the only place we found with a tour to suit our time frame. We did a one day trek of the himalayas and the owner of the company was able to join us on the trek as our personal guide. Throughout the booking experiance we were not forced in any way and were provided with lots of information, pictures and videos of previous tours. We were picked up right outside our hotel and headed straight there. We were given large amounts of food all across the journey and were able to stop at any point we wanted for pictures or tea! The owner was very knowledgeable and the driver too. Our tour was meant to finish at 5pm but we were out until 8pm for no extra charge and dropped straight back to our hotel. The experiance and company were absolutely amazing and we ended up spending the next day with the owner as he was so lovely.
    There is absolutely nothing bad to say about the whole experiance Thank you so much Subash for showing us such a great time!
