Your tour start our assistant will welcome you at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Train station near Siliguri . The capital city Gangtok caters to the needs of all .On the way ,stop at kalimpong where you can enjoy rafting in the Teesta River(at your own expense).Continue drive to Gangtok be it people seeking tranquility or those who are looking for some adventure. Set at a height of 5480 feet, Relax and/or you can also explore the MG Marg road and shop for some unique souvenirs. In the morning, after breakfast at hotel, go for a city sightseeing tour. including be visiting Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery & Banjakhri Falls. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Gangtok hotel For rest of the day you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast in the morning, we will start an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.), which are about 55 km one way from Gangtok city. After exploring the lake and the temple, return back to your hotel in Gangtok for an overnight stay.

Optional Tour : Nathula Pass tour can be done on the same day at an additional cost.

Nathula Pass : is one of the most famous motorable mountain passes of India. With 14,140 feet altitude, this Pass also served as an important trade route between India and Tibet.

This morning, you will drive to Tiger Hill (8,400 feet) to chase the down and see the stunning view of the sun rising and throwing it pinkish glow on the landscapes. After spending some time at the tiger hill, you will embark on a drive to the hotel. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed, Tea Garden (outer view), We ride the beloved toy train, a Darjeeling favorite. Spend the rest of the day wandering the lovely city. Overnight in hotel.

    I had a terrific weekend touring Darjeeling with Kiran Rai as guide and Dipu Lepcha as driver. We packed a lot of sights into a short period of time but they managed things smoothly so it never felt rushed. Kiran was extremely knowledgeable about everything and gave me a lot to learn and think about throughout the weekend, as we discussed the background of the Tibetan monastery, Buddhism, the tea industry, the politics of the hill country within the state of West Bengal, as well as history of the region from the British Raj to independence to the present day. Dipu did an amazing job driving amidst difficult traffic in Bagdogra and the mountain road to Darjeeling.

    We found Ashmita Tours and Subash on the web about 2 months before we left for Darjeeling. From then onward everything was perfect. He quickly responded to our many e mails, queries and requests. Every thing was so well planned that NOTHING went wrong, even the weather and views were perfectly arranged. 
    Everything was so well arranged - hotels, home stays, temples, bikes, train tickets, pick ups that all we had to do was ensure we had a great time and we did!
    We were met at the airport by Neema,a very good and safe driver. An hour after we arrived at our good and comfortable Hotel Dekeling Subash arrived to introduce himself and go over the itinerary. Additional requests were easily fulfilled.Tenzing, our driver was excellent, safe and knowledgeable.We cycled for a day, and that was wonderful - with good bikes.We walked the Singalila Ridge with an excellent guide - Pemba and equally as good Porter Moonaj. Pemba was very attentive, ensuring we were well fed and watered at all times and sharing his extensive knowledge of the area and its culture as well as ensuring our continued well being and happiness. He was always at work! A wonderful guy. All our accommodation was fine - comfortable, quiet and clean, with good food - so therefore very well researched and selected. We had a highlight every day - good food, amazing views, stunning weather, delightful people, joining in with family activities, seeing a Red Panda, temples, water driven prayer wheels, fun and more. Our trip would not have been so perfect if the planning and arrangements had not been done so well - and all the credit goes to Subash and Team Ashmita for that. Thank you for a great and really memorable holiday. Not a single criticism.

    Subash and Ashmita Trek & Tours gave me unforgetable experience in Darjeeling. After saw hit bollywood movie Barfi, I decided to visit Barfi's shooting location in hill land. Subash arranged a location tour for me and told me some interesting episode during shooting period in Darjeeling. We also walked through almost whole Darjeeling downtown to have great tea and snacks. If you want to enjoy Darjeeling and Nepal, try to discuss with Subash and Ashmita Trek&Tours first. I am pretty sure you will get good response.
