Our 6 day trek to the Singalila Ridge with Ashmita travel was the highlight of our trip to India. There were 4 of us in the group, plus our excellent guide, Rupesh. We particularly enjoyed the variety of the scenery. There was a mixture of jungle and bamboo forest, the Singalila Ridge itself, which has views of the mountain peaks, including Kanchengunga and, in the distance, Everest, and traditional mountain villages. Mr. Subash the owner at Ashmita arranged a trip for me and wife for Travels for 12 days (i.e Gangtok, Pelling, Lachung, Darjeeling) and he arranged the car for 12 days was very nice and all the drivers are very nice, super helpful and polite in nature and they guide us all the places very well and liked to travelled with them. Thanks to Ashmita Trek and to our guide Dawa for an excellent experience: the Tonglu Tumling 2 day trek . This trek was an absolute high (in every sense) to our journey in India. We had the opportunity to sample local food (all very tasty) and local customs. The homestay in Tonglu was primitive (we knew), but had a really cosy feel to it. Our target was a view of four of the five highest mountains in the world during a single-day trek. The Tonglu-Tumling trek exactly fits the bill. We started walking from Tumling village, where we climbed a little hill for this grand view. This was followed by a walk along the Singalila ridge to Tonglu village, which is around 100 m higher. We had such an incredible time doing the 1 day Trek of Singalila Ridge. Our driver was great, our guide Rupesh Tamang was incredible.Going in December we were lucky to get some Himalaya views in the morning before the fog rolled in in the afternoon. But the best part of the trip was the views and experiences in the villages we visited.Rupesh was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We were a group of four and had some amazing six days at the Sandakphu - Singalila Ridge with our guide Sangay. It was such a great experience to hike along the Indian - Nepali border from Mane Bhanjiang via Tonglu, Gairibas, Sandakphu, Phalut and Ghorkey to Rimbik.
