  • Mr.Tamang and Mr.Subash are probably the best group I have dealt with for my solo treks

    Geeta, India - March 12, 2019

I have done trekking two years in a row with them. First was a day trek to Tonglu-Tumling. This year in March I did 5 day trek to Sandakphu. I prefer solo trekking at my own pace and journey is more important than the summit. Mr.Tamang took exceptional care of me throughout from wake up to ensuring that my doors are closed before pack up for night. He would ensure that I ate well hydrate well and sleep well. He ... continue reading

  • Fantastic 1 day trek

    Jay B, United Kingdom - March 05, 2019

We found Ashmita by chance looking for some help to get to Varsey in Sikkim, and we are so glad we did. Subash (the owner) was extremely helpful & stopped us wasting a whole day just driving. As he could see we were disappointed he proposed a 1 day trek that would satisfy what we were looking for & it didn't disappoint. We had an amazing trek from Dhotrey to Chitre with our superb guide Tenzin, who was knowledgeable, courteous & ... continue reading

  • 2 Day Hike to Tumling Tonglu

Vivek murthy, United States - March 03, 2019

I booked the 2 day trek to Tonglu and Tumling via the Ashmita website. I was traveling on my own and looking to make last-minute plans that involved trekking, landscape photography, and seeing the outdoors. During the online booking process, which was very easy and straightforward, the Ashmita staff were highly professional and very attentive/responsive to my email queries. My guide was Sangay, who was perhaps the most thoughtful, kind, generous, and professional guide I have ever met. He is also ... continue reading

  • 2 day tumling and tonglu trek

    Lin White, Australia - February 18, 2019

Great trek. The first day we encountered quite heavy snowfall and we found the going quite tough but our experienced guide Sangay was fantastic and as well as being very knowledgable about the ground we covered was good humoured and patient throughout and made sure we stopped a couple of times for tea along the way. A lunch stop in a lodge en route was also included. The overnight was in Tumling at a lodge where there was a warming ... continue reading

  • Darjeeling to Chatakpur Cycling Trail!

    Arnab Nag, India - February 12, 2019

We were planning to do this for a very long time. But let me tell you in advance, its not too easy but its definitely worth the pain. Note: All of us were beginners. We started off from Darjeeling around 9:30 in the morning. The journey to Ghum was pretty steep and drained out most of our energy. From there we entered the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary. The journey was absolutely magical with the entire forest covered in mist and fog. ... continue reading

  • 4 days Darjeeling Sandakphu Timburey Trek

    Sorawan Saichua, Thailand - January 12, 2019

Our guide Pemba was incredible and knowledgeable. Not only did he guide us with the stories of the places throughout the trek, but also advised me to take home remedies when I had a mild symptom of high altitude sickness. The symptom was relieved almost immediately. Pemba was always attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The lodges we stayed were nice, comfortable and clean. The owners were welcoming, hospitable, and very generous with delicious local meals. ... continue reading
