Just back from India which included about 10 days in Darjeeling. A highlight was a dawn trip to Tiger Hill and trek back to Darjeeling followed the next day by a 2 day trek with a stayover in Tumling. Ashmita are a really professional and friendly outfit and our guides (Dawa Lama and Tenzing) were superb. Hope to go back for a 5 day trek next time. continue reading

This was such an amazing trek! Ashmita Trek & Tours is a top-notch, highly professional and customer-oriented company! Sangay, our guide, is one of the best trekking guides I've ever encountered - knowledgeable, incredibly physically fit, always customer-oriented, and all with a great sense of humor! We booked onto the 5 day Singalila Ridge Trek with Ashmita in December after doing some research with the various companies offering these kinds of trips online. Subash was highly professional and went into what the trip would involve in detail so that we were confident about what we were getting into! About the travels :A very good travels where they welcomed us warmly, explained us our package. They equipped us with everything whichever is required before the trip started. They gave good advices before the trip started. Eventhough we travelled in 3 vehicles in a chain, they had good communication with each other. We were not dropped anywhere to wait for the other. I cannot praise Subash and his team enough for safely guiding us through tough terrain and challenging conditions with such kindness and patience and lots of good humour. We ate three fantastic fresh meals a day, had beverages as every stop and the best was tea in bed isn’t he morning followed by basin of hot water to wash. We found Ashmita Trek online due to the very positive comments on tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. We organised our trek in advance through communication by email with Subash and his team.
