Excellent Tour of Darjeeling and Trek to Tumling!
Roma, United States - June 14, 2017
A friend and I booked a 6 day tour of Darjeeling which included a 2 day trek to Tumling. I was very impressed with Ashmita Trek from the initial planning stages via email as Subash and his team made a customized itinerary to suit our needs. We were met by our driver at Bagdogra airport and taken to Darjeeling city center. We booked our guide, driver, hotel, and excursions through Ashmita. I would agree with other reviewers that Ashmita is ... continue reading

Fantastic family trek!
Ragav, India - May 12, 2017
We did sandakhpu - phalut trek returned via Gorkhey - Timburey - srikhola with our young kids. Sangay was a fantastic guide and was very resourceful. His associate Tenzing was amazing too. We were little worried about weather when we started trek in rain from Chitre. Fortunately it cleared up next day and opened a lot of beautiful views and colorful rododendruns all along the way up from Tumling. View of himalayan range from Sandakhpu was awesome, we were very ... continue reading

Terrific Treking on Singalila Ridge
Petboe, Netherlands - May 10, 2017
Four days of hiking to and from Sandhakpur on beautiful Singalila Ridge. Quite strenuous yes, but very well guided (in our case by Kunzang Sangay). Got taught loads on the flora and fauna of area, local customs and habits and especially the scenery. Great little guesthouses along the way for great nights sleep and good food. Do prepare for long, slow and very winding drive on last day from Rimbick back to Darjeeling. But: highly recommended! continue reading

One Day Trek on India/Nepal Border
Carolyn, United States - May 05, 2017
During the last week in April, we asked Ashmita Trek and Tours to plan a one day Trek for us. They picked us up at 6:00 a.m. and we left for a small village 2 plus hours away. The driver was excellent and our guide took care of our every need. We hiked into Nepal and enjoyed a delicious cup of Ginger Tea at the top of the pass. Our guide had arranged for lunch at a Tea House along ... continue reading
An excellent organization for a trekking on Singalila Ridge
Eduard, Spain - May 05, 2017
In April 2017 we have had the opportunity to join a trekking along Singalila Ridge in Darjeeling organized by Ashmita Trek and Tours. Subash Tamang and his team take care of any minimal detail to attain a memorable trip. The ascent to Sandakphu at 3600 mts. is extraordinary and the opportunity to lodge there to see Kangchengjunga, Makalu and Everest at sunrise is fully extraordinary. We will remind the experience forever. Later in the trek, the descent on the western ... continue reading
