My sister and I booked a trek with Ashmita during monsoon season in late June. This was a low-altitude trek through Darjeeling, Tumling, and surrounding areas. It was an excellent experience. Subash was very responsive and went out of his way to make sure our tour went smoothly. And our guide, Pemba, was extraordinary. My friends and I booked the Darjeeling Singalila Ridge trek in December 2015 through Ashmita Trek & Tours. The trek itself was the most wonderful I have done to date. walking through mountain scenery and seeing village life in the foothills of the Singalila region was the highlight of the trek. we walk through forests full of trees like oaks, ferns, chestnuts and magnolias. I booked a 2 day trek via email a couple of months ago. Subash took lots of time to work out a suitable itinerary with me and then supported me through getting the right kit and paying. He was always flexible, knowledgeable and understanding.Our guide, Sangay, was just superb! Hugely experienced (he's been on some serious expeditions), he went the extra mile in tailoring our experience as we went, looking out for our limits but meeting both my teenage son's ... continue reading
