We went on a five night trek with Ashmita along the Singalila ridge in April 2016. It was probably the best trekking I have ever done, everything went according to plan. The weather was awesome, sunny everyday and perfect temperature for trekking. In the night time the temperature dropped down to 2-3 degrees.Our guide picked us up at the airport in Bagdogra and took us to the start of the first leg of the trek. Recently I had been to Darjeeling and had used the services of Ashmita Trek and Tours. I had sent a mail in advance mentioning my requirements and had received proper response through mail and as soon I got down at the railway station at Newjal Paiguri(NJP),Mr.Santhosh Tamang had reached to pick me up to drop at Darjeeling. I went on a trek with my brother and 2 friends, we were guided by Sangay and our porters were Tensing and Mingla. We did a 7 day trek of the Singalila Ridge, starting at Darjeeling in the first week of May. My son and I had a terrific trek with Ashmita Trek April 10th - 13, 2016. Everything was organized via email in advance of the trip and all questions answered. Our guide (Mr. Binod Tamang) was great and the tea houses we stayed in were very nice and the food delicious and abundant - often more than we could eat! I and my husband toured Darjeeling and Sikkim between 20th and 28th of April 2016. The Travel arrangements including Hotel accommodation was done by Mr. Subhash of Ashmita Travels. They were truly professional and our entire trip to Mirik, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Pelling, Gangtok and Nathulla Pass was very well organized. We did the Singalila Ridge trek plus tours of Darjeeling & Kalimpong with Ashmita in March. The trek was a great experience, required some physical fitness plus mental stamina. We had great views of the mountains on the trek and in Darjeeling; we even caught sights of Everest! We stayed in trekking huts along the way which were comfortable and clean with plenty of food. We contacted Subash through email regarding organizing a trek through the Singalila National Park (Singalila Ridge Trek). Subash was very professional and replied extremely quickly to my email requests for information. We decided on the 6-day trek but customizable shorter or longer tours are available on request. Two friends and I did the Darjeeling Sandakphu-Timburey Trek (4 days) and had an amazing time. In the run up to the trek, Subash answered all our questions and concerns promptly and reassured us in a briefing the day before we set off.
