We're a family of 4 (with a 14 and 9 year-old), not seasoned trekkers, and make no mistake the Singalila ridge trek is a tough one -- but the folks at Asmita were super kind and helpful and considerate. We had the best time doing the 6-day Singalila Ridge Trek. We did the trek at the same time as a couple of other groups from Ashmita, so we met three guides, a chef and a porter from Ashmita in total. All the Ashmita staff were kind, friendly and helpful, and always had a smile on their face! Two friends and I went on the Darjeeling Sandakphu-Timburey Trek at the end of October.Ashmita Trek and Tours allowed for our every need during the four days we spent trekking. We organised a shorter 4 day trek (usually 6 days) from Darjeeling to Sandakphu and back. They were so willing to help us as we had a limited amount of time.
