  • Highly recommended

London Pundit, United Kingdom - March 21, 2014

Ashmita recently organised a trek for us from Darjeeling home stay village to Village Trek . We found Subash and his wife very professional in responding to questions and managing the arrangements by email; they gave us plenty of prior information to help us plan for the trip itself; laid on an excellent guide on the ground; booked very good accommodation en route; and provided safe drivers to get us to and from the trekking start and finishing points. Overall ... continue reading

  • Great treking experience, wonderful service!

Theo Stocker, United States - March 06, 2014

My wife and I did a 2 day trek through Ashmita March 2014 and had a great time. We walked into the Ashmita office after reading reviews and Subash tailored our trip to our needs. We've been traveling India for over a month and had little in the way of appropriate gear / clothing. We also had limited time and couldn't do a 5 day trek as some recommend. Subash was very friendly and put together a great trip, and ... continue reading

  • Sandakphu trek in Darjeeling

Dicky Thong Shoe, United Kingdom - February 26, 2014

We contacted three trekking companies before choosing Ashmita and - to be fair to all three of them - got good responses back from all of them. However, Subash was consistently the most responsive and understood our needs straight away, suggesting the ideal trek to suit our timescale and ability. We were rewarded with an unforgettable experience, trekking for 5 days along the Sandakphu ridge with great company in the form of our guide and spectacular views all the way ... continue reading

  • A must do in Trek Darjeeling!

    Tyna Böhm, Germany - February 25, 2014

A very organized and adventurous trek in Darjeeling given by Ashmita Trek & Tours! If you are looking to do some eco tourism in Darjeeling, India I strongly recommend booking with them. My friend and I did not have a lot of time in Darjeeling but they made it happen. It was a great experience to get away from commercial tourism and get back to nature plus you can't beat the opportunity to view the peaks of Mount Everest! Also, ... continue reading

Subash and his team have been our Indian family. we spent unforgettable moments. Subash organized our tour perfectly: trek (Gochala Trek + Singalia) and then some very interesting cultural visits at Darjeeling. Visits of Gangtok and Yuksom, Zoo, tea factories, and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI): ascent of Mount Everest in 1953 by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary... all the stories! All my best to Subash, his familly and his friends of Yuksom. continue reading

  • Abridged Sandakphu trek in Darjeeling

Emmy Bird, United States - December 03, 2013

We had only a limited amount of time, but wanted a Himalayan trek in the Darjeeling region with (hopefully) good views of Everest. Subash was friendly and accommodating. He created an itinerary that worked with our tight schedule, arranged all the details and provided a fantastic guide (Mr. Pembra). Everything was great! I would definitely use Subash to organize another trek in the region in the future. continue reading

  • Goeche La and Singalila Uttaray trek in Sikkim

    Babeth, France - November 21, 2013

We found Ashmita trek and tours on the Darjeeling tourist information center website. From the beginning, the contact was very warm and Subash organised us exactly what we wanted. We were welcomed in Bagdogra airport by a very happy and smiling Subash, which is very nice after a long trip. Subash was able to arrange us a trek going from Yuksam to Uttarey, including last minutes changes due to a foggy weather. The lack of seeing Mt Everest was replaced by ... continue reading
