The tour begins at 4am with a visit to Tiger Hill to catch a magnificent sunrise and views of the Himalayan peaks like Kanchanjunga and Mount Everest. Guests return to the hotel for breakfast by 7 a.m. Following breakfast, around 9 or 10 a.m., the city tour begins. The tour includes a stop at the Japanese Temple and the Peace Pagoda. The Peace Pagoda in Darjeeling serves as a place for people of all backgrounds to unite in their pursuit of global harmony.
The tour continues to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, founded by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mount Everest. Following this, there is a visit to the Darjeeling Zoological Park, which is a favorite attraction for animal enthusiasts and includes a breeding station for snow leopards, black bears, Bengal tigers, and red pandas.
Next, we head to Tenzing & Gompu Rock, named after Tenzing Norgay, followed by a visit to the Darjeeling Ropeway. Here, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Little Rangeet river valley from the Rangeet Valley Passenger Cable Car.
The final stop is at the Tibetan Refugee Center (closed on Sundays), a rehabilitation facility for Tibetan refugees in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region, established on October 2, 1959, after they escaped Tibet with the Dalai Lama. The center primarily focuses on producing Tibetan handicrafts. You are then dropped off at your hotel or Mall Road, concluding the day's tour at 4 pm.
